In recent years, more and more manufacturing companies have shifted their production capacity from Asia to places closer to the end market, and Mexico has become one of the biggest beneficiaries of "nearshore outsourcing".
Foreign investment in Mexico continues to reach new highs, attracting over $40.9 billion in foreign direct investment in the first nine months of 2025 alone, with a large portion going into manufacturing and industrial parks.
These newly built factories and warehouses generally share a common characteristic: large building area, high ceilings, many people, and a lot of equipment—which is exactly the scenario where HVLS fans are best suited to realize their value.
Electricity prices in Mexico are not cheap for industrial and commercial users: In March 2025, the price of electricity for businesses was approximately $0.217/kWh, higher than the global average.
This means that for large warehouses and factories, relying solely on traditional air conditioning systems to address comfort issues would result in very high operating costs.
Big Fans de México: Primarily promotes HVLS large fan solutions, providing comprehensive ventilation solutions for factories, warehouses, etc.
EOLO Fans, AIRMOVERS, etc.: Offer HVLS as part of their industrial ventilation portfolio, selling it bundled with exhaust and supply air systems.
MacroAir distributes HVLS in Mexico through Proveedora Térmica, targeting the high-end market.
Greenheck HVLS is distributed by PIPSA, focusing on efficient ventilation solutions for use with HVAC systems.
Some manufacturers in India and other regions, such as SA Engineering, Big Industrial Fan, MG Fans, and Marut Air, have been supplying HVLS to Mexico through local agents or direct sales.
Driven by nearshore outsourcing, the demand for warehousing in cross-border e-commerce, auto parts, and electronic products has surged. Large warehouses, high-rise shelves, and frequent entry and exit of personnel and forklifts require high levels of air circulation and comfort.
Automobile, home appliance, electronics, metal processing, plastics, and textile factories are highly concentrated in Mexico, especially in industrial parks near the US-Mexico border. These factories typically have high ceilings, numerous pieces of equipment, and generate significant heat, making them ideal for HVLS (High-Voltage, Low-Voltage, High-Intensity) systems.
For those of you in B2B, the most crucial thing is usually not talking directly to these end customers, but rather:
Developers and property managers of industrial/logistics parks; Mechanical and electrical contractors (MEPs) and HVAC companies; Industrial ventilation system integrators; Industrial product distributors and channel partners.
First, select the regions with the hottest nearshore outsourcing and the fastest-growing industrial real estate (such as northern border cities and central industrial cities in Mexico), and cooperate with 1-2 excellent local electromechanical contractors to create model projects.
Instead of just selling fans, present it as a comprehensive energy-saving solution that "reduces cooling energy consumption and improves comfort," addressing the pain points and budgets of warehouse and factory owners.
