ODIN HVLS FAN

CorTec Odin Series HVLS Fan is a traditional-type HVLS fan equipped with a gear-driven ABM motor, using grease lubrication instead of oil. The series delivers more comfortable cooling airflow, a higher air volume capacity, innovative safety technologies and applications, and a more powerful, stable, and quiet customized powertrain.

Industrial HVLS fan motor with gearbox structure

Motor

Motor imported from Germany, IE2 energy-saving and high-efficiency motor, the central shaft of the motor is made of 42crMo material, the output shaft diameter is 35mm, and have double oil seals, low-pressure cast aluminium. Its special performance lubricating oil in the reduction box, long service life, and lifetime maintenance-free.

Fan Blades

MATERIAL
The blades of CorTec are made of 6063-T5 aluminum alloy
6063-T5 aluminum alloy has a tensile strength of 215 MPa, yield strength of 160 MPa, and an elongation of 15%. It also has a Brinell hardness of 60 HB and a shear strength of 150 MPa. This alloy has good formability, high corrosion resistance, and excellent weldability, making it suitable for a wide range of applications in various industries
High strength: 6063-T5 aluminum alloy has a high tensile and yield strength, making it suitable for structural applications
Good corrosion resistance: This alloy has excellent resistance to corrosion, which makes it suitable for outdoor and marine applications

CFD airflow simulation comparison of HVLS fan blades

 

CorTec compared dozens of different aerodynamic designs using ANSYS FLUENT simulations and identified the shape that yielded the maximum airflow under equivalent power conditions. As illustrated in the following images, which depict two distinct fan blade profiles, the wind speed heatmaps generated by their rotations are vastly different. Specifically, the airflow volume on the left is 5.7% greater than that on the right

Structure

The internal structure of the CorTec fan blade has a special design:
It contains two connected reinforcement ribs and four unconnected reinforcement ribs, which makes the fan blade lightweight and more resistant to fracture
When the fan blade is connected to the plug-in and the nut and nut tighten the fan blade and the plug-in, the two "E-shaped" reinforcement ribs have a certain deformation ability. When the fan blade is subjected to the tightening force from top to bottom, the reinforcement ribs will bend slightly, which can not only ensure the close connection between the plug-in and the fan blade, but also ensure the structural strength of the fan blade.
